Use Low Data Mode
Pauses automatic updates and background tasks to save data.
Your iPhone does plenty of quiet work in the background, like syncing photos and updating apps. Low Data Mode pauses most of that on mobile data, so you only spend data on what you are actually doing.
- Open Settings > Cellular.
- Tap Cellular Data Options.
- Tap Data Mode and choose Low Data Mode.
Tip: You can also set this per Wi-Fi network by tapping the (i) next to it and turning on Low Data Mode.
There you go! Your iPhone is on a diet and your data bundle says thank you. 🍎😂
