How to pick a smart TV
A simple checklist before you spend.

For most living rooms, a 55 inch 4K TV is a good starting point. Sit closer? Go smaller. Big room? Go bigger.
OLED has the best blacks and suits dim rooms. QLED and LED TVs are brighter, better for bright rooms and often cost less. Look for HDR support, 120Hz if you game, and enough HDMI ports.
Check the smart platform (Google TV, Tizen, webOS and others) and make sure your favourite apps, like Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video, work in South Africa. Use a cable if your Wi-Fi is weak.
