Clear app cache
Cached files can pile up to gigabytes.
Cache is temporary data that apps save so they can load faster. Over time it grows and can take up a lot of space. Clearing it is safe because the app simply rebuilds what it needs.
- Open Settings > Apps.
- Tap a big app like TikTok or Chrome.
- Tap Storage (or Storage & cache).
- Tap Clear cache.
Tip: Tap Clear cache, not Clear data. Clear data logs you out and deletes app files.
